Roy Smith II
Smith brings experience in financial services, business management, healthcare, and education. He has worked as a lead insurance producer in a fiduciary role with AIG and in wealth management and brokerage services with Merrill Lynch. He is also a co-owner of Lifetime Healthcare, Inc. and the owner and chief executive officer of The Drego Company LLC.
His commitment to young people and community development includes teaching and coaching at Blount High School and Scarborough Middle School, contributing to educational initiatives through 100 Black Men, and coaching and volunteering with the Boys & Girls Club. He has also participated in Leadership Prichard.
As a councilmember, Smith is focused on listening to District 5 residents, strengthening public safety and community trust, improving drainage, sewer, sidewalk, and ditch infrastructure, supporting responsible economic development, pursuing grant opportunities, and advocating for improved access to healthcare and essential services.
